Small Car ALTO achieves big milestones in Domestic Sales, sells over 40 lakh units

Introduced in India in 2000, India’s favorite small car, the Maruti Suzuki Alto has been selling for almost 20 years now and it has sold more than 40 lakh cumulative units (4 million) across the country. India’s no.1 selling car for 16 consecutive years, Maruti claims that 76% customers of Alto choose it as their first car.

Hyundai announced that Creta crossed the 500,000 units sales mark and achieved a big milestone for the country’s largest exporter. The made in India Creta has created waves across 88 countries and has been the best-selling SUV for three consecutive months of May, June and July, 2020 in India. Further, the all new Creta has received over 65 000 bookings since launch in March 2020. The contribution of diesel in the Creta bookings continues to soar and is now at 60% indicating a strong demand for diesel powertrain in the country.
